Mila Tzvetkova-Hover is from Plovdiv, Bulgaria and now lives in Utah. She earned her Baccalaureate of Art in Anthropology/Archaeology and Classical Civilizations from the University of Utah in 2006. Her professional experience varies from pediatric nurse and radio personality in Bulgaria to graphics design in the United States.

Mila has extensive humanitarian experience beginning in 2002 when she volunteered for “Project Healthy Village” in Kenya. She fundraised for the organization; collected and distributed supplies and educational materials to needy Kenyan families; gave lectures at their schools on the importance of oral hygiene and AIDS prevention; worked with the local government in order to bring water to a small clinic; and helped with the installation of a solar panel and water well in the village. Also in Kenya, Mila worked with YAI, Youth Against Immorality, an organization functioning in defense of orphaned children due to HIV/AIDS in Kibera, Nairobi, the largest slum in Africa. She participated in and supported events that focused on stopping the spread of the virus through education on prevention.

Mila joined One Heart Bulgaria in 2006 and comments: “Perhaps, the most important asset I have to offer is my personal interest in helping the underprivileged in Bulgaria, my native country. I love the Bulgarian people. I envision helping One Heart Bulgaria through providing connections with the Bulgarian media and health services as well as helping to fundraise.”
