Special Projects Available

In 2006, we provided a hydrocephalus shunt for a sweet little girl named Gergana at this facility. She is seen with Tanya, our field director's wife, in 2007, and is well and thriving. Until now we have given toys and flu vaccines.

With this new sponsorship and other donations, we are meeting more of their needs as well as enriching the lives of these children through our Grandmother Nurturing Program and Music Program. One Heart Bulgaria grandmothers, Ani and Naska, and music time instructor, Nikolinka Tabakova, are well accepted by the management and thoroughly enjoyed by the children. The director, Valentina Grozeva, has been very enthusiastic and cooperative in accepting our assistance. There remains a critical need for our programs and sponsorships as you can notice by the listed needs below.

This orphanage was built in 1970 and is in the city of Haskovo that has 160,000 residents and is located in southern Bulgaria along the major highway to Istanbul, Turkey.
